Wrong Diagnosis

December 30th, 2006 by nvraprincess

And my friend still had the pain in his throat. So, today we went to ENT Specialist, and guess what ? the fish bone was removed.

There are a few statements made by the dr in clinic aman.

- Just in case we go to court one day, i shall write everything
own now. c/o " fish bone stuck in throat, on inspection, there is no
foreign bodies.

- It’s just inflammation thats why your tonsils are enlarged and red. ( still insisting that there’s no fish bone there ) .

We asked him twice why the pain can shift from the left to the
right side, and he didnt answer, but just said INflammed Inflammed
Inflammed !!

My friend didnt even get the chance to ask what’s the whitish
protusion he saw in the right tonsils. ( it’s actually the fish bone ).

I’m sure gonna go and sue the dr.

Different case for in the ENT center.

The dr, on inspection, couldnt find the fish bone, but, at least,
when we told him that while using the pen torch, we can see something.

Hence, he asked me to look at where’s he pointing, and see whether
that’s the bone we’re talking about. ( at least he listens and is not
that egoistic or proud, and did no insisting on his own diagnosis ) And
when we asked why the pain shifted, he doesnt knows, but at least he
admitted that he couldnt explain it.

Hence, finally , with the help of the dr, we managed to take out the nasty bone that had been stuck for one whole week.

Sad for the Doctor

Hey folks, especially those staying around subang area.. perhaps u would like to spend some time reading this.

I just came back from the clinic, and had the worst clinic experience i had in my entire life.

I accompanied my friend, who thinks that he has a fish bone trapped at his throat, to see the dr.

Upon entering the clinic, the nurse was talking on the hp. Ok, fine then. I waited for 10 seconds perhaps? and she started to ask for the IC, in a MOST UNFRIENDLY WAY.

My friend had a bad sorethroat, and I decided to answer the nurse for him, and the nurse was giving this irritated look.

Ok. Nvm. As long as the dr is good,, i hope.

So, we went in, and the dr examined my fren, and said there’s no foreign body. Then when i asked him why the pain shifted from the right side to the left, he said, it’s just inflammation, but he didnt answer me why it shifted, and he started to snap me off. THere was one point where he said, " Pls dont teach him (my fren) what to do" when i was just trying to ask my friend to tell the dr that he’s already on antibiotics.

My friend too, didnt get a chance to explain more about his pain, where the dr keep saying that it’s nothing but just inflammation. He is so PROUD and have lousy Communication Skills, n he DONT EXPLAIN TO PATIENT, DONT LIKE TO BE QUESTIONED, and in the end, he sounded so irritated by us.

SO, the nurse gave us the medicine, and then, while on the way out, we decided to ak what’s the drugs name, since my fren has anti-inflammatory drugs at home.

We went back in, and the nurse looked at me and say, "You, you are the one who asked him to ask for the drug right? who wants to know?" and i was like.. what the? isnt it the patient’s right to know what kinda drugs he’s under.

So, the lousy nurse didnt know the drug’s name, and went to ask the dr. The dr called my friend in, and asked, "whats the point seeing me when u already have all the medicine?"  but my fren explained that he was just trying to reassure that the bone is not there. ANd the dr said that i’m bugging him. ANd asked why we want the drug name for ?

So finally, after some time, he gave the name. and when we went back and check, there’s no such name at all !! perhaps the dr Forgot the drug name, or he simply wrote a name down !! and total we took back two sorethroat medicine and was charged 40 bucks!! damn expensive !!!

DOnt go to Klinic aman in SS15, or you’ll end up having more cells die instead of being cured and reassured.
